A few year ago, in the 2011 IAA in Frankfurt Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Automobili Lamborghini SpA verified a limited production run of only 20 units to the Sesto Elemento, a light-weight concept which was a unveiled in the 2010 Paris Mondial de l'Automobile... now the information reached us all 20 units happen to be sold, so we have not even seen the particular production version yet.
What is more appropriately during this whole story is the point none of those 20 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento are road legal, that is right, this can be a track day car only, it is allowed to be applied on non-public roads and circuits worldwide.. not on public roads, but somehow I do not think the fortunate owners of one of these simple Sesto Elemento models will lose any sleep over that little detail.

So will the production model considerably differ from the concept car... or does it be so near the prototype it wasn't possible to really make it street legal ultimately, something you need is already sure, It‘ll remain a really light-weight car by having an amazing styling and also the well-known V10 engine coming from the Gallardo Superleggera in 570 hp trim behind those red trimmed, carbon fiber tub style seats.
We do hope they deliver all 20 cars in a similar clear carbon fiber bodywork with individuals contrasting red screws and air intakes and outlets that look so great merged using the red cloth inside, presumably the red sections upon the interior will certainly be finished inside the new Carbon Skin we saw within the Aventador Jota last March, that will cause it to be look more appropriately.
After reading the news in regards to the Sesto Elemento being sold out I couldn't help but considering we could be seeing the particular production car in Paris in a couple of months, the initial concept was shown in 2010, so why not possess the production version officially unveiled 2 yrs later in the very same show?
The Sesto Elemento is equipped having a 6-speed semi-automatic transmission with paddle shift and all wheel drive system, mated to some 5. 2 litre V10 engine borrowed coming from the Gallardo, generating 578 PS (425 kW ; 570 hp ) and 540 N·m (400 lbf·ft ) of torque. The chassis, body, drive shaft and suspension components are created of carbon fiber, reducing the over-all weight to some mere 999 kilograms (2, 202 lb ), a weight similar to subcompact cars say for example a Honda Fit. 1 It‘s the lightest car Lamborghini has ever produced. citation needed.

Air is released through 10 distinctive hexagonal holes inside the engine cover, while two intakes funnel cool air straight into the mid-mounted engine compartment. The Sesto Elemento's high power combined with low overall weight translate to some power-to-weight ratio of 0. 57 hp / kg (0. 26 hp / lb ) (having a weight-to-power ratio of 1. 75 kg / hp and three. 85 lb / hp ). Lamborghini claims a 0–100 km / h (0–62 mph ) acceleration time of just 2. 5 seconds. 2 Lamborghini sources said that ... they‘re going to sell it in very small numbers, in 2013.
The Sesto Elemento's interior is usually minimal with few vehicle comforts for example air-conditioning and car stereo. The seats aren‘t exactly seats but shaped pads linked with the interior from the car. Top Gear's Richard Hammond praised the car and proclaimed it the poster car of now.
